Britta Buchholz

Curriculum Vitae:
Dr. Britta Buchholz is head of the local product group “Power Systems Consulting” at ABB AG in Mannheim, Germany, since January 2014. From November 2011 to December 2013, she headed the “Business development Smart Grids” for Central Europe and Germany at ABB AG. From 2001 to 2011 she held various positions as manager of R&D projects and head of the grid planning department at the regional energy supplier MVV Energie Group in Mannheim, Germany. She holds a Doctor´s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kassel University, Germany, and a Master in Industrial Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. She gained broad international working experience, e.g. at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as in Brazil, Venezuela, Spain and USA. From 2007 to 2013, she lectured at Federal Swiss Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. Further, she leads the CIGRE working group C6-27 “Asset management for distribution networks with high penetration of distributed energy resources” and is designated chair of the global study committee C6 “Distribution systems and dispersed generation”. |
