David Brenner Vice Governor of Salzburg State, Austria Curriculum Vitae:

David Brenner was born in Salzburg on the 31 of March 1971. After visiting the elementary school of Parsch in Salzburg and following two classes of a public high school in Salzburg, he moved to Linz with his parents. There he graduated from a local high school. After completing his military service at the airbase Vogler in Hörsching close to Linz, he started studying political science, journalism and law at the University of Salzburg. In the year 2000, David Brenner graduated University with honours.

During his high school years in Linz he was engaged in school activities and elected as school representative. Since 1993 he is a member of the Austrian Social Democratic Party (SPÖ). 1998 he was appointed director of the Dr. Karl-Renner- Institute in Salzburg. He carried out this profession until his election to chairman of the SPÖ-Club in the Salzburger Landtag, the states parliament.

In April 1999 David Brenner was sworn in as a delegate to the Salzburger Landtag. From April 2004 until December 2007 he was club-chairman of the SPÖ in the Salzburg Landtag. He became not only the financial-, and cultural speaker, but also acted as spokesman in educational matters. On the 13th of December 2007 David Brenner followed Otmar Raus in his position of vice governor to the state of Salzburg and became his successor. On April 22, 2009 David Brenner was re-elected in his position of vice governor for the state of Salzburg and is responsible for the departments of finance, culture, sports and real estate.

In his spare time David Brenner is an enthusiastic windsurfer, icehockey-player, a motor-cross driver and passionate reader.

In his role as head of federal land finance, David Brenner is responsible for shareholdings of the state of Salzburg. This includes the central infrastructure company, Salzburg AG for Energy, Transportation, and Telecommunication, of which he is the chairman.
